Christmas in July!

Back to my December Daily Scrapbook... I have a renewed determination to complete my December Daily Scrapbook after hearing that my sister is working to complete hers as well. I know the whole point of the December Daily book was to do a page each day so you weren't spending your summer holidays scrapbooking about Christmas however... better late than never.

When I pulled all my stuff out for the December Daily I discovered that I actually completed three more pages than I have posted on here! So here are my pages for days 14, 15 and 17. I believe I skipped page 16 because I didn't have a topic for that day. Anyway, maybe I can complete this project and stroke it off my list before Baby Tilt #2 makes it's appearance.

Stan's 1st Birthday

Can't believe how the time has flown. He's nearly 18 months already but here's a quick look at the 1st Birthday party.

Baby Tilt #2, on the way.

So this isn't really 'new' news for us as I'm about 27 weeks pregnant at this point, but here's the ultrasound pic for proof!

So far this pregnancy has been pretty different from my last. I started this one out with about 18 weeks of nausea (where as I had zero nausea with my first), which was followed by about 3-4 weeks of ridiculous headaches each day and now things seem to have evened out. I haven't had any mega cravings like last time (dill pickle flavoured anything, Wendy's Big Bacon Classics and Campbell's chicken noodle soup). The weight gain went backwards for the first little while ( I had some extra on there to spare) and I'm following along exactly where I was with the last one at each week now.

We didn't find out what we'll be having again but there's definitely a feeling of it being a girl this time for some reason. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
I sorted a bunch of the baby clothes tonight and picked out some of the gender neutral newborn clothes to have on hand when October 1st rolls around. If it's a girl, we have a lot of shopping to do (which I'm not too sad about) and if it's a boy then we get to reuse some of the super cute stuff that I was sad to pack away last time.

This pregnancy seems to be slipping by so quickly, mostly because everything isn't totally new to us, and I'm busy chasing around a toddler. Only 3 more months to go and because it's the summer, time is going to fly.
Until then, lots more creativity to unleash!

White Washed Quilt.... COMPLETE!

I did it! I completed my first quilt ever. It was sent to be quilted over the Christmas holidays and then sometime in January or February I finished the binding on it which brings it to total completion!
This is a photo my mom took after I picked it up from the quilters. The edges still need to be bound in this photo.

This shows the quilted pattern of dragonflies and squiggles.

When I have a chance I'll photograph the final binded quilt.
Yahoo for a complete project in 2012!

Here we go again...

So there's lots to update since my last (very long ago) post. I'm back on a kick to complete things and try to stay on top of a blog.
Since January there have been a few major things going on for us.

1. Our baby boy turned 1 on January 20th.
2. We found out we're expecting Baby Tilt #2 on October 1, 2012

3. We renovated and moved houses in May while keeping our previous house and renting it out
4. My brother got married June 16th which involved lots of creativity leading up to and both Oz and I were standing up in it.

There are a few projects I've started (and some completed) and I'll try to post about each of those. I have a tonne more ideas for more projects that I'll likely not get to but hey, I can always dream.

So... here we go again. The blogger kick.
